For me Sunday is a day to rest. The Maximum guy and I floated down the Madison river yesterday. I had an interesting episode on the river, I grounded, and Max lighter by about 160 pounds did not, and went floating on downstream. Having basically grown up on the ocean, I think no problem I will swim downstream and catch up with my son. Well guess what you can't swim worth a darn in four to ten inch water, and the loose slippery rocks don't afford enough purchase to run on.
So Max went downstream until someone pulled him over to the bank to wait. He wasn't in danger, he swims well, had a lifevest securely on, and was riding his innertube, but he didn't like getting separated from his dad.
It was a perfect day for tubing down the Madison, which means it was too damn hot for Montana.
